Dog Walking services

Allowing Dachshund Walking to walk your dog you must agree to the terms & conditions as laid out below. Failure to comply with these terms and conditions may result in termination of all services with immediate effect.

 

What we will do for you

  • We agree to provide our services in a reliable, caring & trustworthy manner
  • We will communicate in a timely fashion any worries or concerns with the Client ASAP
  • Provide a free in person consultation prior to any walks for all new clients
  • Any keys used to access a property for any service will be kept securely in a safe and only labelled with the dog's name and Sam's contact telephone number in case they are misplaced
  • Dachshund Walking has valid specialist Protectivity insurance that covers all services provided

 

What you agree to do

  • Client is responsible and will ensure their dog is up to date with all vaccinations, flea, worm & tick treatments, to include kennel cough vaccine
  • Client must make a full disclosure of any quality or characteristic issues which may make their dog not suitable for walking including but not limited to, behavioural or health problems, antisocial behaviour & aggression. Failure on the part of the owner to disclose any matter which may render owners' dog unsuitable for walking will be deemed a material omission amounting to a fundamental breach of our agreement and immediate cancellation of this contract and walking services offered.
  • Client agrees to provide all relevant information for the satisfactory performance of our services, including any health, dietary, allergies or exercise requirements and any other instructions for the wellbeing of their dog.
  • It is the client's responsibility to ensure that their dog, property and its contents have adequate insurance
  • It is a legal requirement for all dogs to wear a collar with identification (ID Tag) and be microchipped
  • Client accepts full liability for any costs for loss or damage caused by their dog whilst being walked, to other dogs, humans and property
  • All leads, collars, harnesses and walking equipment provided by the client for their dog must be in a good condition. We will not be held responsible for faulty equipment leading to your dog escaping

 

Veterinary Care & Treatment

  • Dachshund Walking cannot be held liable for any loss, injury or death to a dog whilst in their care
  • The client is responsible for any veterinary bills, no matter how they are incurred, whilst dogs are in the care of Dachshund Walking
  • We make every effort to contact the client in the event of an emergency, however we reserve the right to make decisions regarding your dog's health provided it is at all times acting in the best interest of your dog and on the advice from a veterinary surgeon
  • Every effort will be made to take your dog to your own Veterinary Practice, but this may not be possible in an emergency
  • The client is responsible for any reimbursement of any fees incurred to Dachshund Walking

 

Our liability

  • Dachshund Walking has full Protectivity insurance, allowing up to 6 dogs to be walked at any one time
  • Insurance certification can be provided upon request
  • Dachshund Walking has been DBS checked and certified to confirm they have no criminal record. Certification can be provided upon request

 

Cancellations & Payments

  • Any cancellation made less than 48 hours before the scheduled service, a fee equivalent to 50% of the total cost will be invoiced to the client
  • Cancellations made on the same day as scheduled service will be subject to the fee equal to 100% of the total cost and invoiced to the client
  • Full payment upon receipt of invoice
  • Late payment of commercial Debts act 1988, amended 1998 & 2002, we would like to remind clients payments due at time of invoice
  • Termination policy – 1 month termination of contract required from either the client or Dachshund Walking

 

Emergencies

Client to provide Dachshund Walking an emergency contact, that isn't you

 

General information

  • Client is to disclose to Dachshund Walking of any CCTV, including ring doorbells, recording equipment and security systems
  • Any photos taken by Sam can be used on social media to be used for advertisement purposes within Dachshund Walking
  • In cases of severe weather conditions, including but not limited to high temperatures, strong winds, heavy rain or snow, walks maybe abbreviated or cancelled as a precautionary measure
  • Your booked walking time is an estimate and whilst we make every effort to arrive at the time given, depending on road conditions or unforeseen circumstances
